About the members:

Caroline White - Cello 
Caroline taught music in the Hartford Public Schools for
 many years. Originally trained as a trumpet player, Caroline loved the cello and 
began studying cello and performing as an adult. She is heavily involved with the
 Hartford Music Society and performs in many orchestras and chamber music groups in
 the Hartford area including the Connecticut Valley Chamber Orchestra.

Helene Rosenblatt - Flute 
She has a Mus.M. in Performance from Boston University. She performed in New York

 and the Boston area as a freelance musician as well as forming and managing several 

chamber music groups over the years including Ensemble di Vento (LI NY) and Charles River Chamber Players (Boston/Cambridge in the late 70's 
and  early 80's), and the Blackledge Woodwind Quintet. She studied(s) with 
 William Fred Heim, James Pappoutsakis, Christopher Krueger and Ransom Wilson. In addition she attended
 master class  with Marcel Moyse. She actively performs in Connecticut with BLACKLEDGE,

 Charter Oak Flutes, Concerto Winds and Salmon Brook Trio Plus! Other organizations 

she performs with include Connecticut Virtuosi Orchestra, Farmington Valley Orchestra, 

Connecticut Valley Chamber Orchestra, Willimantic Philharmonic.

Richard Loomis - Viola 
 Dick earns his living playing viola and bass as well as tuning pianos.
A resident of Western Massachusetts, Dick heralds originally from Hawaii
and was a member of the Honolulu Symphony. Dick performs with a number of local orchestras including 
the Southern Connecticut Orchestra.

Virginia Allen - Violin/Viola

Trudy Sternberg - Violin  Trudy is active with the Hartford Music Club, performs with a trio
as well as a number of local orchestras including the Connecticut Valley Chamber Orchestra   

 Tibor Pusztai - Viola
Tibor is a noted Composer and Conductor. He currently
teaches composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and is on the faculty
of the Hartford Conservatory. He is conductor of the Connecticut Valley Chamber Orchestra 
and has been the Assistant conductor of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. Tibor studied violin 
and viola, beginning his career as a performer in well known string quartets and symphonies.
 As his career turned more to composition and conducting his time became limited to perform
 as an instrumentalist. Tibor has returned to instrumental performing as violist and
 occasional violinist with  The Salmon Brook Trio Plus! 

  Susan Cutlip - Violin
  Sue lives in Willimantic and performs with a number of orchestras including
 the Meriden Symphony and the Southern Connecticut Orchestra. In addition to Salmon Brook, Susan plays
 a lot of chamber music in Connecticut and in a number of summer festivals in the Northeast.
